JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing Director is responsible for the hospital’s overall marketing strategy and initiatives. He/she will act as a liaison for the hospital and its members of the medical network as it relates to patient referral sources. The Marketing Director is responsible for developing, driving, and implementing strategies/processes to sustain and improve provider engagement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary sales and marketing representative for managing patient referral sources.
  • Develop strong relationships with key hospital and referral source personnel, identifying new opportunities for alignment, partnership, and growth.
  • Work with hospital key personnel to develop monthly marketing plans and strategies for new and existing referrals.
  • Assure that the referral and admission process is seamless and positive, including but not limited to identifying all necessary devices/equipment and required medical needs are met.
  • Understand and communicate critical and/or strategic changes to the hospital’s internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regularly communicate with physicians, medical groups, and other hospital partners both in-person and virtually.
  • Collaborate with the hospital executive team to develop and facilitate business development strategies for the hospital.
  • Monitor industry and area trends to identify opportunities and potential risks.
  • Act as a liaison in developing strong interdepartmental relationships with hospital executives, department administrators, physicians, etc.
  • Manage and develop a digital marketing strategy for the hospital.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field.

2. 3-5 years of marketing experience in healthcare.

3. Provider relations/contracting experience including solid communication and negotiation skills

4. Familiarity with the admissions process at an acute care facility including an understanding of patient insurance, i.e. Medicare, Medicaid, etc.

5. Superior follow-up skills by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with patient referral sources.

6. Prior experience with digital marketing utilizing data analytics to assess and establish marketing strategies.
