The role you’ll contribute:

The Manager Marketing position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans and building community partnerships. Leads the development and execution of marketing plans while meeting budget parameters and providing return on investment metrics for programs.

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day consumer volume-driving activities as well as the advertising strategies and tactics to grow the brand, patient loyalty and service line volumes at the hospital. The position develops consumer volume-driving tactics and brand messaging to build consumer loyalty through various communication vehicles such as print, direct mail, outdoor, radio, sports marketing, digital media platforms, collateral and special events.

Coordinates advertising strategies and tactics to competitively differentiate, build market preference and grow market share through the hospital’s branded services. Oversees messaging, design, creative execution and production of all marketing communication materials and facilitates necessary approvals on all materials. This position works closely with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, digital media, media relations, community relations, service line teams, physicians, physician liaisons, nurses, administration and internal communications while reporting to the Director of Marketing. Position also has a strong tie to the business development representatives and director to ensure volume and program goals are met and any issues affecting marketability are properly escalated and resolved.

Responsible for developing community outreach programs including social and community awareness that promotes the brand, service lines, business units and growth strategies of the hospital, physician practices and related business units. This position is responsible for evaluating, planning, organizing and managing hospital-based internal and external community health, wellness, seminar/lecture, physician and hospital speaker bureau and outreach programs. This position is also responsible for managing AdventHealth Ocala’s day-to-day contact with the community to generate awareness of the AdventHealth brand and services through community outreach.

  • Oversees the development and execution of strategic marketing plans.
  • Develops strategic vision and implementation of marketing and business development plans to meet established volume and market share goals for the hospital. Develops plans to meet goals with tracking mechanisms to ensure success.
  • Develops and manages the service line(s) marketing budget(s).
  • Serves as a leader in working knowledge of the competitive landscape in the Ocala/Marion County market. Maintains a strong working knowledge of competitors, technology, and new physicians in the market. Communicates updates to marketing leadership on monthly basis.
  • Proactively develops and manages relationships with key civic, community and non-profit organizations.
  • Serves on local civic and community boards, representing the hospital as an ambassador to promote the hospital’s key service lines and community support.
  • Develops, manages and deploys a "turn-key" community event management service. Responsible for managing all event logistics including, but not limited to location, food, A/V, speakers, promotion of event, registration, screening materials and promotional items.
  • Establishes strategies and goals for building brand loyalty and growing market share in 55+ communities within our PSA.
  • Has a strong understanding of market research. Works closely with market research and service line leadership teams on market analysis and reporting to support marketing strategy development and maintaining competitor, consumer and physician information.
  • Responsible for creation and development of content and brand standards for program/service line through use of creative briefs including background, research information, design look and feel, content and copy, timelines and deadline management and graphic content.
  • Develops key messaging, design and provides direction on creative execution. Oversees the creation and production of all marketing communication materials and facilitates necessary approvals on all materials. Ensures compliance on all marketing materials and internal initiatives.
  • Responsible for the development of web and social media content strategy.
  • Represents organization at community events as needed or required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Seven or more years of experience and proven track record in strategic and integrated marketing communications that includes strategic marketing and planning, advertising and promotional plans, agency relationships, working with a creative development process and community relations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • Previous healthcare marketing experience is preferred.
