Position Overview:
Reporting to the company's President and CEO, the Marketing Manager is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership in all aspects of Marketing (product development ideas, business development, lead generation, budgeting, hiring, and execution). Be responsible for building and managing a pipeline of strategically and financially valuable customers, including sourcing prospects and ongoing lead generation. Manage quality and effectiveness of all employees and initiatives within the marketing organizations, including associated vendors and suppliers.

This role is an executive-level responsibility for making high-level advertisement campaigns and budget decisions. The MM will act as a critical business partner to the Regional Director of Sales and President, working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and suppliers to maximize the Marketing department's effectiveness.

Act as an advisor to the President and leadership team on a broad range of strategic marketing, product, and services-related issues. Models and acts per CMP's mission, vision, core values, leadership competencies, and norms.

He/ She models and acts according to its mission, vision, core values, leadership competencies, and norms and plays a critical role in implementing the same across the organization and the people they interact with regularly.

The following vital accountabilities ensure the critical success of this position:

Provide Strategic Marketing Leadership as part of the leadership Team (20%)

  • Work with the leadership team to develop short and long-range marketing plans.
  • Provide marketing leadership and input to company-wide strategic planning processes and objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical marketing strategies aligned with company growth plans.
  • Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective lead generation strategies, social media presence, and execution processes to maximize growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitor and client intelligence and develop appropriate strategies to optimize potential opportunities.
  • Act as a change agent to help create and drive a market-driven and customer- focused culture.

Lead and manage the marketing department effectively to ensure all goals are met (40%)

  • Drives setting goals and execution plans for the marketing department and create organizational capability, managing execution, and measuring results.
  • Communicate with senior management about marketing initiatives and project metrics and brainstorm innovative strategies for growth.
  • Coordinating marketing and promotional campaigns with sales activities.
  • Develop and oversee the company's marketing budget.
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with company policies and marketing plans.
  • Identify weaknesses in existing marketing campaigns and develop pragmatic solutions within budgetary constraints.
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measuring results while enhancing ROI.
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
  • Establish and implement streamlined processes and operating procedures to ensure smooth execution of all campaigns tracking data; maintaining promotional materials inventory; planning meetings and trade shows; maintaining databases; preparing reports.
  • Lead marketing team's public relationships and communications efforts, including community outreach.
  • In collaboration with sales, represent the company at various community and business meetings to promote the company.
  • Working closely with design agencies and assisting with new product/services launches.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are informed of marketing objectives.
  • Ensure that all products meet claims based on labels

Manage and develop a robust and scalable marketing department to improve the overall effectiveness and position the business for growth (20%)

  • Recruit, retain, and grow excellent talent within the marketing organization
  • Coach and mentor marketing team with lead generation and marketing campaign tactics (i.e., email, direct mail, webinar, digital advertising, social, etc.) to drive pipeline growth.
  • Test and optimize a range of lead generation strategies to drive the growth of marketing qualified leads (MQLs)
  • Mentor and coach marketing staff and coordinate ongoing professional development for all marketing staff to ensure a high-performing marketing department.
  • Coordinate with other departments and leverage continuous improvement tools to streamline and increase marketing department operational efficiencies.
  • Leverage technology and best practices to build capacity to handle incremental business growth and handle new products and services.
  • Design and execute effective marketing compensation plans to drive growth while maintaining profitability margins
  • Constantly focus on developing employees' skills to enhance personal and business performance through employee feedback and apprisals

§ Recruit, retain, and develop staff

  • Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings to provide feedback and help them grow their skills and leadership
  • Manage the goal setting and KPI's (measurements) process for professional personnel
  • Coach them and hold them accountable for delivering on their goals and commitments
  • Train and assist Marketing employees with required training and development

Create and lead a New Product Introduction(NPI) process to successfully launch profitable new products (20%)

  • Conduct market research and validate all NPI product ideas§ Create an NPI strategy for the successful launch of new products
  • Ensure that all new product labels and marketing claims are vetted and cleared for communication
  • Lead the design of the logos/labels, packaging, and presentations for all NPI before being released to the market
  • Coach and mentor sales team and outside vendors on new product details to ensure accurate knowledge is transferred
  • Manage collaboration, feedback, and execution of all-new product campaigns until all NPI goals are met

  • Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies
  • Analyze sales numbers in comparison to the marketing budget to find the profit margin and which campaigns were most effective
  • Research competitors to stay current with similar products or services on the market
  • Work with both the sales and marketing departments to develop successful strategies and campaigns that attract new customers and keep current clients
  • Collaborate with other executives to make high-level decisions regarding the budget and the direction of the company
  • Create and maintain a successful brand and image that attracts customers to the product or service
  • Develop marketing strategies for new products or services that comply with current company standards

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Advanced technical and management education preferred
  • Professional certificates courses in digital marketing, branding, and public relations are preferred.
