The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities, and requirements:

RESTAURANT MARKETING MANAGER JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing a variety of processes for the restaurant team such as: new sales initiatives, marketing strategies, new store openings, QSR promotions, creating a marketing library for restaurant and district use, and maintaining a monthly marketing calendar.

RESTAURANT MARKETING MANAGER EXPECTATIONS:

  • Develops and manages new sales incentives within the Restaurant Division.
  • Manages and provides support to the field for restaurant marketing strategies (Kid's night, coupon drops, etc.)
  • Works with restaurant team to establish and execute marketing strategies in new store openings.
  • Designs and supports marketing strategies.
  • Works with vendor partners on direct mail/shared mail marketing initiatives. Selects offers & determines marketing destination.
  • Manages billboards and DOT signage cross functionally with Marketing Services for all restaurant locations.
  • Reviews and selects billboard option. Ensures brand compliance.
  • Manage marketing budget for store and division and recommends/implements changes as appropriate.
  • Works with restaurant team and cross functionally with Marketing Services to design and develop competitive intrusion strategies and execute.
  • Leads brand communication on all new restaurant promotions and interacts with key contact personnel for each brand on a monthly basis.
  • Sets up and maintains a marketing library for the restaurant district managers and restaurant managers. (Coupon templates, bow flag ordering, direct mailer, and streamlining printing efforts).
  • Manages marketing toolkit for field operations use.
  • Analyzes, identifies, and interprets financial data with each marketing strategy to evaluate effectiveness.
  • Prepares and communicates to restaurant district managers on implementation and follow up of marketing strategies.
  • Analyzes sales reports and trends to recommend marketing initiatives for select locations and areas.
  • Monitors industry trends and best practices in marketing and pricing.
  • Maintains pricing files for all locations and documentation for all pricing decisions.
  • Manages vendor contacts for new store openings, ensures that proper permitting is obtained for banners, bow flags, and other exterior marketing materials.
  • Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with region directors, district managers, and restaurant managers.
  • Serves as liaison between restaurant field operations and Corporate Support Center.
  • Participates in special projects and assignments.

RESTAURANT MARKETING MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality/business/food service or a related field, plus 2 to 4 years of similar work experience in a retail operations environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing desirable.
  • Knowledge of accounting and economic principles and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Knowledge of administration and management principles involved in business planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing including managing resources and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
