The Seagate Marketing Manager is a key role to ensure all our properties represent The Seagate’s culture and brand. This position will be responsible for implementing the marketing and storytelling development while enhancing the brand internally and externally through the development and distribution of written, digital, and visual communications. This role will maintain a strong entrepreneurial spirit and the ideal candidate is a self-starting team player that is creative, innovative and is willing to roll up their sleeves to implement change and the latest thinking in marketing, social media, and partnerships. Expected to share in the long-term strategic vision on the clubs and hotel and contribute to the overall growth from a purposeful perspective in the day-to-day operations.
Property purveyor of brand standards and representative of the brand voice. They will have a strong aesthetic opinion and understand how to translate “approachable luxury” to all forms of design and messaging to build brand awareness and customer loyalty while increasing sales and reputation across all marketing platforms, including but not limited to social media. Execute recommended corporate PR and Marketing initiatives at property level. Develop, coordinate, execute, and maintain on-going digital campaigns and on-property event promotions, strategic local, regional, and national partnerships, and social media strategy. Track and report on marketing tactic results through agency dashboards, property analytical reporting, and related local systems. Plan, coordinate, communicate, and execute property events including holiday dining events and activations, national holiday marketing, and hotel programming. Act as agency liaison and on-property contact and coordination expert for both commercial video and photo shoots. The ideal candidate is proactive, clearly understands the importance of time management, knows that this is a support role for the property and specific departmental objectives, and is well-organized by prioritization.
This role reports to the Director of Sales with a dotted line to the Area Director of Marketing and will support the following properties: Seagate Hotel, Beach Club, Country Club, and Yacht Club.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop, and strategize idea generation for in-house event execution
  • Deliver communication of in-house events and promotions to hotel guests
  • Execute weekly local and in-house event posting across social ecosphere
  • Ensure local event calendars current
  • Communicate to staff monthly about upcoming events through calendar visual
  • Liaise weekly with agencies including digital, PR, and SEO
  • Track marketing initiatives and tactics monthly
  • Maintain supporting websites and MarTech
  • Create social media plan leveraging in-house and local special events while integrating the brand’s core pillars (wellness, culture (art, music), culinary)
  • Create media, journalist, and influencer strategy identifying key travel partners to help spread hotel awareness and promotional messaging
  • Attend hotel strategy meetings
  • Coordinate and attend photo and video shoots
  • Coordinate all press visit reservations, arrange site tours, and amenities
  • Handle hotel printing needs, restock collateral and maintain client gifts
  • Implements and protects The Seagate Clubs brand in accordance with the mission, vision and values set for by the Club.
  • Implements and accurately communications via website, video, email, newsletter, etc. with accuracy edits and distributes material for members
  • Write and deliver internal newsletter and communications on a monthly basis.
  • Oversees the creation of marketing and communication collateral with the graphic designer.
  • Meets with the Director of Membership and Communications to outline monthly/weekly projects, strategies, and goals for brand awareness both internally and externally.
  • Manages the members profile information online and in the club software program.
  • Manages the internal membership directory and distributes to all departments.
  • Compiles content from departments for website and newsletter.
  • Updates the calendar of events, menus, hours of operations for the clubs.
  • Maintain website content (provided by staff members and self-generated).
  • Assure that website content is timely, comprehensive, accurate, appropriate, and attractive.
  • Meet one on one with each department head to ensure their department information is correct weekly.
  • Use the available website design tools to keep site appearance fresh and compelling.
  • Use the available E-communications tools to create campaigns for a variety of member events and activities.
  • Provides backup if necessary to the graphic designer.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Social Media & PR

  • Works closely with the General Manager to execute a social media strategy for The Seagate including oversight of content posting on social media channels, reviewing plans/copy/imagery.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day social media management working with third party partners, including reputation management, and responding to direct messages and comments.
  • Works collaboratively and harmoniously alongside other key roles within and outside the organization, including the on-property management team, and third-party partners to generate content that aligns with the brand’s social media strategy, and speaks to the targeted consumer.
  • Works closely with the PR agency ensuring alignment on communication and direction. Assists with reservations + itineraries for Influencers and Press visits.
  • Maintains image library from Influencer visits and events on property to further promote on social media.
  • Responsible for tracking social media growth month-to-month as well as digital analytics on geo-demographics.
  • Knowledge of graphic design to produce bespoke story series via social media and other external and internal channels to promote property-level initiatives.

Website & Digital Marketing

  • Responsible for the maintenance of website marketing materials and other property updates working with third party partners.
  • Responsible for copywriting as needed as websites expand to develop content
  • Update new experiences and blog posts to the website; Maintain calendars, activities, dining menus, spa menus, and other events; Review for accuracy on a consistent basis; Promote key offers/events; Seasonal content/imagery updates.
  • Support digital marketing activations responsible for the following functions: Maintain email marketing calendar
  • Coordinate the print marketing material needs for each property, including Food & Beverage collateral / Spa collateral / Property Collateral / Promotional Materials
  • Coordinate the production of digital marketing creative asset development
  • Fact check content and regularly audit all Seagate online and printed copy

Email Marketing

  • Maintains calendar of email marketing campaigns per property from both the ARC level and local initiatives including producing emails via OpenTable
  • Ability to craft emails to appropriate audiences through copywriting and image selection

Marketing Partnerships

  • Work with General Manager on the ideation and strategic implementation of creative and on-brand partnerships designed to elevate properties
  • Coordinate on-site events and activations for each property

Asset Management

  • Digital Asset Management: Maintain and update photo and video libraries in accordance with our central process for the hotel & assets are all labeled in a meaningful, comprehensive manner
  • Plan and control all property related photo shoots both directly and external requests
  • Maintain current repository of Brand Logos, Hotel Key Facts/Assets, Photo + Video selects, ARC Promotional Calendar, Lead offers, Key Messaging, Positioning, Journey Maps, Seasonal needs, Demand trends, Key contacts, etc.
  • Evaluate present electronic communications and database operations and develop new ideas for the future.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree in communications preferred.
  • Three to five years working in a marketing or communications role.
  • Knowledge of graphic design to produce bespoke story series via social media to promote property-level initiatives
  • Hospitality knowledge preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in all facets of “packaged” website solutions administration and management, including page design and brand consistency, navigation, content management and generation, photo gallery management, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with queries, report design, graphical output and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with e-communications including concept, design, execution, and analysis of target effectiveness (open, click-troughs, action).
  • Proficient with MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
  • Proficient with digital camera and video technologies.
  • Proficient with InDesign and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Great multitasker and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and project management skill with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to details
  • Familiarity or experience working with CRM software.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarly with Club system software.
  • Capable of working well as part of a TEAM as well as independently.
  • Must be able to work with and support cross-functional project teams including third-party vendors
  • Must be able to think analytically and strategically.

  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 10lbs and occasional up to 50 lbs.
