The Marketing Manager-Paid Media is a hybrid role that combines service-minded account management skills with industry-leading strategic consulting acumen, and must simultaneously be able to communicate expertise about media, sponsorships, activations, creative and marketing strategy – while balancing that expertise with accessible language and posture that invites conversation, collaboration, and a spirit of partnership amongst the operations team. The manager must be able to challenge, while maintaining trust; provide objective analytical rationale, while recognizing subjective group dynamics. They also serve as a strategic program lead for all digital advertising initiatives. As such, they serve at two levels – both at the brand level as well as a resource for individual properties at the local level. The role is fast-paced, engaging, intellectually stimulating, collaborative by design and creative in approach.


The Paid Media Manager is responsible for architecting digital marketing strategies for the brand and local levels. The manager partners with the marketing team, IT, operations, and asset management to gain input and alignment and ensures delivery. This person is a self-starter with leadership qualities who can work in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment.


You Will

  • Responsible for leading the strategy and efficient day-to-day management of digital marketing campaigns; monitors budget pacing, taxonomy and ad copy optimization, and testing strategy to ensure efficient and effective delivery of campaigns
  • Manages media buying strategy, campaign creation, optimization and rigorous testing strategies aligned to business priorities to achieve KPI target for assigned platform or business area.
  • Monitors and advises on new advances in digital marketing, the competitive landscape, and vendor capabilities to influence business plans and strategies, while driving digital marketing innovation.
  • Develop goals, assess traditional and digital tactics, and track performance through dashboards designed for each campaign
  • Create relationships with clients in order to position yourself as a trusted partner
  • Proactively elevate issues to the Director of Marketing
  • Manage client budgets and regular budget review meetings
  • Fields weekly questions/considerations from operations, and ensures questions are brought to timely and strategic resolution
  • Ensures projects are executed on-time and on-budget, within the agreed upon particulars for each market request.
Requirements:

You Have

  • Minimum seven (7) years work experience
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related field of study
  • Background in digital service, search platforms, search engine, or agency is ideal
  • Highly proficient in Google Ads (AdWords), Microsoft (Bing), display/programmatic platforms, and third-party search management platforms
  • Comfortable working with analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics
  • Understanding of pixels, ad tracking, and platforms such as Google Tag Manager
  • Some experience with commercial real estate strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to influence groups that may start out with varied POVs and bring those groups together around shared strategies and plans that lead to effective execution
  • Experience with financial planning, ROI management, detailed reporting and analytical toughness
  • Sees the necessity and power of advertising to grow business. And adjusts and adopts new practices as needed and quickly
  • Deep and confident knowledge of the media ecosystem, with an eye toward how industry players and other leading iconic brands are utilizing media, advertising, and has a finger on the pulse of emerging trends
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; a desire to constantly learn and grow in a rapidly changing environment
  • High personal motivation, self-management, and detail-orientation; ability to take responsibility in meeting deadlines and making progress without direct supervision
  • Strong communications skills; both verbal and written
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to new assignments and challenges in a fast-paced environment
