Material Control Specialist III Job at By Light Professional IT Services LLC
Overview:
The Material Control Specialist III is able to perform all material control duties and tasks, operate all the equipment, and coordinate/oversee the work of the Material Control Department.
Responsibilities:
Typical Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Loading, off-loading, shipping and receiving of materials from the Receiving Dock; including large semi-trucks, UPS/FedEx pick-ups and deliveries, etc.
- Verifying count and condition of materials
- Processing of material control transactions into the inventory control module of CostPoint
- Packing items for shipment
- Coordinating with freight companies
- Pick materials for Assembly or other internal customers
- Performing daily clean-up and recycling of materials
- Inventory control: daily cycle counts, verifying inventory accuracy, researching and resolving discrepancies
- Operating powered and non-powered industrial equipment
- Flexibility to work overtime and on weekends if necessary
- Performing other duties as directed
- Candidate must a minimum of 4 years of warehousing experience with at least one year of experience as a lead or coordinator of a small team.
- Candidates must also demonstrate strong customer service and leadership skills and be able to effectively organize individual and team efforts
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, with both sit-down and reach forklifts, computerized inventory systems, RF scanning equipment, ability to prioritize tasks for a small crew, and proven ability to set and achieve goals.
- Ability to demonstrate a customer service mindset is critical.
- By Light does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters; vaccination requirements and testing are subject to the status of the federal contractor mandate and customer site requirements; testing is at the cost of the employee.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. and be able to work while standing for extended periods of time.
