JOB SUMMARY:
Accurately locate and deliver materials, supplies, and finished goods to fabrication or assembly areas in a timely manner to assure that production activities are not interrupted in the work cells and assembly lines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES:
- Reads and interprets work orders, bills of material or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved and to what locations.
- Transports materials to or from storage areas or work locations to designated areas using hand truck, electric tug, material carts, forklifts, etc...
- Opens containers of purchased products, using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, carts and shelves by hand.
- Verifies that materials loaded and delivered are correct.
- Reports material discrepancies and/or shortages
- Operates gas or electric-powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices,
- Supports and participates in Morgan Olson’s PPS team efforts.
- Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.
- Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.
- Other duties as required
