Responsibilities:

• Ensure adequate supplies are available in the work area to perform bindery work, such as pallets, banding materials, boxes, etc.
• Prepare pallet or containers/boxes for material movement while operator is setting up job.
• Inspect sheets to ensure quality standards are met. Check product for quality problems such as fold, count, smearing, etc. Product with quality defects should be removed from every bundle. Notify operator of any quality issues.
• Ensure code numbers are packaged correctly.
• If required, help correct jobs that are out of specifications.
• Uniformly jog, band or package all bundles correctly and neatly. Consistently place bundles in the box correctly and close boxes without bending inserts. Stack boxes neatly on skids to ensure efficiency.
• Assist operator when needed.
• Clean, organize and maintain areas continually to ensure a clean, safe and productive work environment.
• At completion of job and at the end of the shift, make sure area is cleaned up and prepared for next job or shift.
• Communicate with other shifts about specifics on the current job for a seamless handoff.
• Willing to work in other departments as needed.
• Follows all safety regulations.
• Adhere to policies and guidelines pertaining to confidentiality, security, and conducts business in an ethical and professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

• Work involves frequent standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs).
• Must have good vision and good hand-eye coordination.
• Overtime as required.
• Production environment.
