Material Handler-Forklift Driver-2nd Shift Job at International Automotive Components
- 1. Operate an electric or gasoline engine powered fork lift truck and/or hand jack or like equipment to transport materials to and from, in and between departments in accordance with written or verbal instructions and according to production needs.
- 2. Pick up, transport, or distribute loads using safe practices to position loads on forks to insure safe transportation.
- 3. Stores skids and any containers neat and in proper place according to verbal or written instruction.
- 4. Receiving/Shipping of trucks as needed or directed by Supervisor.
Receiving:
- 1. Receive materials into the plant and place in proper location.
- 2. Check and record received quantities.
- 3. Maintain required records for received materials.
Shipping:
- 1. Ship product from the plant in required quantities.
- 2. Maintain required records for shipped products.
- 3. Maintain control of material in finished goods warehouse.
Line Support:
- 1. Supply materials to designated production areas in accurate and efficient quantities.
- 2. Maintain required records for material quantities.
- 3. Communicate material concerns to respective supervisor.
5. Perform daily checks on trucks according to preventative maintenance checklist.
6. Report truck malfunctions to supervisor.
7. Comply with safety regulations governing operation of the equipment.
8. Empty trash receptacles as needed or as directed.
9. Performs/assists in the movement, building, and tear down of material/warehouse racks.
10. Services presses and other operations with products needed for production i.e. Skids, Packaging, Returnables, and Components as needed or directed.
11. Stretch wraps or bands product as required depending on product.
12. Transports WIP, Finished Goods, Corrugated, Returnables to proper location as designated.
13. Reports damaged racks/containers to Supervisor.
14. Complete all necessary reporting and paperwork.
- 15. Promotion and compliance with 5S, and all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
- 16. Perform all other duties as assigned.
