General Summary:

Directly lead the process of receiving purchased and manufactured parts and material. Support corporate net sales objectives by striving to continually meet or exceed company on-time shipping goals by providing timely distribution of materials/parts to the various manufacturing areas. Responsible for ensuring that inventory accuracy goals are met and maintained. Provide day to day production support to manufacturing. Drives continuous improvement activities to improve inventory accuracy and availability.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with plant scheduling and purchasing to identify and resolve key material issues preventing customer on time delivery and schedule attainment.
  • Manage stocking requirements by working with material specialists at other campus facilities as well as purchasing team.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely receipts of inventory manufactured and purchased parts.
  • Ensure the availability to manufacturing areas of parts and raw materials to ensure production delays do not occur, through organized stocking, labeling, and proper inventory relief of purchased and manufactured parts. Research and proactively resolve differences.
  • Resolve quality issues involving materials.
  • Identify and work with other departments to set up inventory related master data of new parts.
  • Prepare and deliver shop floor paperwork related to the warehouse management and inventory management function. Determine what paperwork should be produced and when.
  • Manage overflow of inventory/sales order stock.
  • Identify, document, lead, and implement changes that need to be made to existing processes and procedures.
  • Oversee the process of cycle counting activities
  • Lead and implement inventory reduction projects
  • May supervisor shop employees.
  • Drives continuous improvements activities to improve inventory accuracy and availability.


Job Qualifications:

Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.


Between 2-5 years of relevant work experience is preferred.


  • Moderate analytical ability required. Any analysis requires breaking down of information to determine its elements, historical comparisons, interpretation of data to identify trends in situations where the problems are somewhat complex.
  • Familiarity period of 7-12 months.
