Job Details:
MD Outreach Technician will be responsible for acquiring accurate provider information to accordance to state and federal laws. This role is pertinent to maintain patient quality of care.
Job duties and responsibilities will vary from fielding inbound phone calls for medication authorization and outbound communication to providers for credentials. Areas of responsibility will fluctuate based on organizational needs, allowing the Technician to develop multiple skillsets.
This is an office (or remote) based, cubicle environment, allowing the Technician to provide an exceptional over the phone patient experience. ExactCare provides a fast-paced, high energy environment, allowing the Technicians to excel in many areas with a focus on phone based pharmacy work.
Responsibilities

Utilizing sound drug knowledge to effectively receive prescription authorizations and clarifications

Working through current case queues to problem solve for patient care issues.

Serving as a liaison between the clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals on patient’s behalf.

Maintaining patient records with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

Providing an exceptional customer service experience each day in a phone based environment.

Performing in a high volume, fast paced environment to support ExactCare’s nationwide patient base.

Other tasks as required.
Skills & Abilities

Comfortable working in a phone based environment

Ability to research and troubleshoot provider credentials

Ability to work independently.

Self-motivated and goal oriented.

Ability to utilize computer equipment, technology and work within multiple software programs to receive medication authorizations and clarifications

Exceptional customer service skills; servicing doctor’s office, pharmacist, and patient needs over the phone.

Thorough drug knowledge.

Pharmacy billing knowledge.

Knowledge of appropriate processes in taking prescriptions and clarifications including clear written and verbal communication.

Strong prioritization and organizational skills.

Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Ability to exhibit ExactCare Pharmacy’s Core Values in daily work.
Qualifications
-
Must be 18+ years of age is required
-
High school diploma /GED is required
-
Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred

Must take and pass the prescription intake exam

Pharmacy Certification is preferred

Ability to perform in an office based (or remote) setting that requires sitting at a desk 90% of the time

Ability to work from 9am until 5:30pm Monday through Friday
