Overview
As a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern, you will work with engineering and operations as well as external suppliers. Your roll will be to conceptualize, model, communicate, and detail machine improvements for our array of paper converting equipment with heavy focus on machine safety and reliability. Your work, under the tutelage of our engineering group, will grant exposure to the day-to-day work of a mechanical design engineer.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or associate degree in engineering or mechanical design or from an accredited program.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred.
- Classwork or work experience using CAD. (AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Inventor preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Familiar with engineering principles.
- Familiar with drafting techniques and best practices.
- Hands-on experience through class work, previous internships, or self-motivated projects.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skill.
- Self-starter with the ability to take work direction.
Through this internship you will gain experience with:

- Creating fully detailed engineering drawings.
- Bill of material work.
- CAD software and Microsoft Office Products.
You will be exposed to:

Work Schedule:
The internship will be 40 hours per week during off school periods and 15-30 hours per week during school tailored to fit your class schedule.
