Denver Human Services currently has an opening for an Operations Supervisor to support the Medical Assistance Team working Public Health Emergency Reviews and Reports. This position will perform front line supervisory duties and will oversee the operations for time limited Medical Assistance Teams supporting Denver Human Services in the Family and Adult Assistance Division (FAAD).
We are seeking an enthusiastic
positive-minded leader for this role. The Operations Supervisor lead teams who interview and determine eligibility for medical assistance programs specific to State of Colorado Public Health Emergency inclusion of individuals and families reviewing criteria to continue benefits for our most vulnerable residents, while connecting them to basic safety-net programs.

- The Operations Supervisor leads, motivates, manages, and supports their team on a day-to-day basis, while managing departmental workload with exceptional attention to detail in a dead-line oriented environment
Essential Duties:
- Reviews, develops, or modifies work plans, methods, and procedures, determines work priorities, and develops work schedules to provide adequate staff coverage. Provides work instruction and assists employees with difficult and/or unusual assignments and encourages innovation. Assigns and distributes work, reviews work for accuracy and completeness, and returns assignments with recommendations for proper completion
- The supervisor will need to be able to explain procedures, policies and workflow to staff and customers. This will include understanding public assistance eligibility rules and processing timeliness guidelines
- Prepares reports that provide analysis. Also gather and track data for staff in preparation for workers’ annual reviews
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by management
- Responsible for staff timekeeping (KRONOS), discipline, hiring actions, and general supervisory duties
- Other related duties as assigned
About You
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Previous leadership or supervisor experience. Professional level experience processing client referrals within the community
- Professional level experience working with community-based partners and organizations
- Professional level experience utilizing PC applications including Adobe and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Database systems experience (Colorado Benefits Management System knowledge a plus)
- Exceptional communications skills
- Professional level experience with process improvement and or program management
- Experience with training or teaching new processes, programs, or rules/policy to staff
- Strong conflict resolution and trouble shooting skills. Has proven de-escalation training and /or techniques
- Must be comfortable working in close proximity with customers who have the potential to exhibit aggressive behaviors and expletive language
- Acknowledgement and acceptance of Time Limited constraints of position
- Ability to work both in person and variation of hybrid remote schedule. This will NOT be 100% remote working environment

- Education: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
- Experience: Five (5) years of experience performing technical, paraprofessional, and/ or administrative work (this does not include office support work)
- Education & Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements

Starting Pay
Although our full pay range is included above, the budgeted hiring range for this position is $59,075 - $78,274 per year.
