Medical Assistants will assist in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures and technical/clerical support services in the clinical setting. Medical Assistants will also demonstrate compassion and respect and will be proactive in managing patient’s expectations.

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Schedule: Mon-Friday, 8 hours per shift, AM Shift, no weekends

Permanent employment (direct hire)

Starting hourly pay: $ 20.00

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certificate and High School diploma required
• BLS/CPR/First Aid certificate required.
• completed clinical hours or externship required
• A minimum of 1 year of work experience as a back office Medical Assistant preferred
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Strong interpersonal skills, clerical, and computer skills
• Working experience with Epic EHR (preferred)
• Bilingual: English / Spanish (required)

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake (i.e. vitals, chief complaints).
• Perform all requested orders (i.e. vaccines, medication administration, labs, etc.) in order to prepare for provider visit.
• Document intake into EHR (for all specialties).
• Maintain patient care areas clean and stocked. Includes assisting with supply/med/vaccine inventory/logs.
• Function as a patient advocate by ensuring patient concerns are resolved and/or addressed in a timely manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
