Role and Responsibilities
- Knowledge of Coding guidelines (CPT and ICD10)
- Accurate and timely charge entry for each assigned practice
- Ensuring time of service payments and copays are assigned to charges
- Answering provider emails and addressing any questions or concerns
- Running reports each day and at month end to ensure all charges are entered and encounter tracking report is accurate.
- Research and completion of coding relating denials
- Additional duties as required
- Assisting Billing Team with coding questions
- Assisting practices, providers, and managers, with any coding questions
- Provide billing updates and education as needed.
- One year of medical billing experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPC Certification
- Proficient with Excel and Word
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work independently but also engage and collaborate with a team.
- Able to adjust to change in process or routine
