Job Summary:

Outpatient pediatric therapy clinic looking for a seasoned Billing Representative who can multitask and is detail oriented. This position is responsible for billing insurance (including Medicaid) through EMR, collections and aging, payment posting, following up, and being in communication with front office staff as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Billing electronically for primary and secondary insurance.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office 365 functions including Excel and Word as well as EMR software.
• Using available resources to gather complete insurance data including use of websites, calls to patients, insurance companies or other institutions.
• Interpreting EOBs to resubmit or appeal insufficient or denied claims.
• Posting of insurance and patient payments into EMR; reviewing and adjusting for accuracy during posting.
• Processing denials and claims resubmissions.
• Downloading ERA files for EFT payments.
• Knowledgeable of insurance plans and obtaining information.
• Processing incoming inquiries from patients and insurance companies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years' experience working with or responsible for billing AHCCCS, HMO’s, other third-party payors and self-pay using a centralized computer-based patient admission or billing system (EMR).
• Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience working in a medical field with medical insurance.
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written.
• Electronic Medical Records experience required.
• Meets or exceeds productivity standards in the completion of daily assignments and accurate production.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
