A Medical and Health Care Admissions Reviewer on The Princeton Review’s Medical Admissions Counseling (MAC) team is a professional editor and writer who crafts material for others, taking a student's vision, story or idea and creating a polished, publication-quality product that the student can submit to application committees. Prior experience with Medical and Health Care Admissions may be beneficial but is not required. A Reviewer is an exceptional editor and writer, with training and ongoing feedback available in terms of any necessary details of Medical and Health Care Admissions.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely, professional essay review and feedback for students writing medical school and post-baccalaureate application components, including, but not limited to: Personal Statements, Experience/Activities, Most Meaningful Activities, Secondary Application Essays, Statements of Purpose, MD/PhD application components, Letters of Intent and Continued Interests and Mock Interview Prep.
  • Follow guidance and standards defined by the MAC team.
  • Maintain regular contact with MAC.

Education, Background, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with background in creative writing, journalism or equivalent professional editing and writing experience. A graduate degree or prior experience with medical admissions are beneficial but not required. Note that it is expected that a minimum of three years of medical admissions experience would be required for applicants with no other experience in editing and writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while adhering to standards and meeting deadlines.
  • Solid technical proficiency (Word, Outlook, Teams) and high-speed internet are required.

COMPENSATION:

  • Pay: $35 per hour
