This is a full time night shift position. Candidate must be a graduate of an approved, accredited medical technology program; or the equivalent as determined by the Department of Health and Human Services. Must be registered as a Medical Laboratory Technician through the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent. Job Summary

Provides clinical care through the performance of laboratory based diagnostic tests and services. Facilitates analysis of fluids and results generated by procedures. Responsible for performing procedures in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology in a correct and complete manner. Responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures, collection of specimens and urine drug screens as requested. Works under the supervision of the Laboratory Director and Laboratory Technical Coordinator. Ages served range from newborn to geriatric.

Shift

• 6:00PM to 6:30AM
• Every third weekend rotation
• Holiday rotation

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an approved, accredited medical technology program; or the equivalent as determined by the Department of Health and Human Services.
• Must be registered as a Medical Laboratory Technician through the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent, or Registered Medical Technologist.
• Must work with exacting numbers, have good hand-eye coordination, possess good color discrimination, manual dexterity, window-based computer skills, communication skills, customer service skills, phlebotomy skills, organization and multi-tasking skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills in a Windows environment
• Must be comfortable in a collaborative , shared leadership environment.
• Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring.

These services include, but are not limited to an Emergency Room, full service OR suites, an inpatient care unit, therapy services, advanced medical imaging, Home Health, and Hospice Care. The hospital operates rural health clinics in Watseka, IL, Gilman, IL, Milford, IL, and Kentland, IN. along with a skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home, which is attached to the hospital property.
