Position Summary:
Medical Office Assistant- Women's Health Center
The Medical Assistant is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care in a team-based care and integrative health environment.
Responsibilities:
- Handling physician correspondence
- Preparing patient charts for visits
- Assisting patients with various needs when not providing direct patient care clinical support.
- Helping physicians with procedures.
- Conducts EKGS, medical chart review and preparation, Vital Signs preparation of exam rooms
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3+ years working in a Medical office as a Medical Assistant
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- BCLS training and current certification required
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years' experience as MA in a physician practice or ambulatory environment preferred
