Medical Office Assistant Job at H Squared Health
We, H Squared Health, are a mobile medical practice looking for a medical receptionist/office assistant to join our office. The position is full time (Monday - Friday; 8:30am-5pm). We are currently remote, with occasional meetings at the office location. The candidate is to perform the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Answers inbound calls and assists callers with their questions and requests
- Maintains daily scheduling and confirmation of patient appointments
- Ensures new patients’ insurance and health information are obtained prior to the appointment
-Assists with insurance verification for new and current patients
- Maintains professionalism with patients, family members, and other health care staff
*Other duties may be assigned by the Administrator and/or Office Manager as needed
Required
- 1+ year/s experience with high volume calls
- 1+ year/s experience in a medical office setting
- 1+ year/s experience with EHR system
-Excellent communication and time management skills
- Self motivated and willing to learn
- Computer Literacy
- Detail Oriented
-Problem Solver
-Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively with the team
Preferable
-Familiarity with medical insurance plans
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
