Job Duties:

• Scribe/Transcribe notes are achieved in different ways:
• Interview patients and document in detail.
• And/or Accompany the physician to the room and document history, exam findings, and treatment plan discussions.
• And/or Transcribe audio files.
• You will also help in:

• Pend orders for imaging, therapy, referrals, medical supplies, and medications.
• Taking medical histories and recording vital signs.
• Explaining treatment procedures to patients.
• Preparing patients for examination and assisting the physician during the examination.

Proficiency in the following areas is required:

• Can type > 80 WPM
• Knowledge of EMR (preferably athena) and Microsoft office.
• Ability to work well in a team environment, triage priorities, delegate tasks if needed, and handle conflict in a reasonable fashion.
• Knowledge of medical terminology in the field of Neurosurgery and Orthopedics.
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to focus on others
• Education and Experience Required
• A high school diploma
• A minimum of five years’ experience in a medical office setting, Neurosurgery orthopedics, spine, sports medicine, or pain management experience is highly desired.
