Job Description

Works under direction of a provider to facilitate patient work flow within an electronic medical records (EMR) system, transcribing and entering information provided by the provider into the medical record.
Accompany provider into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam
Accurately document the provider's dictation with the patient within the EMR system
Document all proper symptoms, diagnoses, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as dictated by the provider
Document patient orders dictated by provider, including required tests and medications
Document any procedures performed by the provider
Maintain effective working relationship with providers and staff and demonstrate the H3W Leadership behaviors

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and the workflow of a medical office
Experience in a clinical environment utilizing an EMR, Epic experience preferred
Proficiency using computer applications and data entry
Ability to accurately and efficiently transcribe oral dictation into an EMR
Ability to multi task while maintaining attention to detail
