MEDICATION NURSE, 24 HOURS PER WEEK

12-hour shifts Friday & Saturday (8:00 am to 8:00 pm)

Compass Health is currently looking for a Medication Nurse for our Triage Program in Everett.

The Snohomish County Triage Center (SCTC) has the overarching goal of decreasing the use of jails and hospital emergency departments, acting as a diversion resource for people who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This is an active Triage program with a Recovery Model philosophy. From the moment that Snohomish County Triage Center becomes involved, the individual is engaged in a process of evaluation and planning which involves all available formal and natural supports.

What you will be performing

As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, the Medication Nurse administers medications and provides other appropriate nursing care.

What you will be carrying along

• Current Washington State LPN or RN License.
• 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification and Food Handlers permit, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

What you will be sharing

• Thorough knowledge of medication use and potential side effects.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing issues pertaining to the patient population served in the program along with thorough understanding of the nursing process and intervention strategies used to address these issues.
• Thorough knowledge of involuntary commitment laws.
