Job Responsibilities/Essential Duties:

• Support Fastener Inspection and Testing: Dimensional, Metallurgical and Performance related testing
• Maintain records in accordance to applicable customer specific requirements, consensus standards and ISO 17015/A2LA accrediting bodies
• Support Management of gage system and Lab accreditation system, including round robin lab qualifications via CTS
• Support proficiency training and testing for various metallurgical and fastener performance test methods (Hardness, Chemistry (Spectrometer), Tensile, Microstructure, Torque to Gage, Cleanliness, etc.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions. Ability to clearly and effectively present information to employees, management and customers
• Basic Mathematical and Statistical capability (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions/percentages and different units of measure (inches, millimeters, etc.)
• Blueprint/GD&T Terminology- Ability to review and understand basic blueprints. Experience with common measurement gages (calipers, micrometers, digital/dial indicators, optical comparators and other gages used in the Fastener business
• Computer Skills- Ability to work efficiently with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint. Excel is heavily used in this role.
• LAB/Metallurgical- Understanding of carbon based metals, Steel Treating fundamentals regarding - annealing, austenitizing, quench & temper, etc.
• Related Testing and Inspection Methods- Tensile, Hardness, Microstructure (Austenite, Martensite, etc.)
