MIDLEVEL CIVIL ENGINEER

MSK Engineers has an opening for a midlevel civil engineer to join our team of creative, collaborative, and community- oriented professionals.

We are seeking an individual with demonstrated experience in civil engineering to manage civil design and permitting projects for a variety of residential, commercial, institutional, and municipal clients. The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic and professional demeanor, thrive in a collaborative work environment, and be willing to perform both office and field work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college (required)
  • Registered professional engineer preferred
  • At least 5–7 years of professional design and construction administration experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil design and construction administration services for site development and transportation projects
  • Perform standard civil engineering design calculations and quantity estimates
  • Develop reports and preliminary concept designs
  • Prepare detailed design documents for submittal to clients, municipalities, agencies, and others as directed
  • Administer construction phase services, including field observation, preparation of pay applications and change orders, and construction coordination
  • Resolve design and construction issues

Skills & Knowledge

  • Familiarity with project management best practices
  • Basic knowledge of land survey and civil engineering terms and practices
  • Familiarity with construction standards and terminology
  • Ability to work independently on complex projects with general direction
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite is required; familiarity with hydraulic/hydrologic stormwater modeling software (HydroCAD or similar) is preferred.
