MIG Welder Job at Linde + Wiemann US Inc
Employee must be proficient in reading shop detail drawings and be able to use all standard measuring equipment. Basic math skills are required as is basic knowledge of final weld inspections. This is a fast paced environment and requires the individual to be on the shop floor for most of the shift. Accreditation as CWI is a definite plus.
Some Responsibilities of this job include:
- Awareness of PPE and Safety Requirements
- Functionality of Cell
- Emergency Buttons/E-Stops
- Part being Produced and how it Functions at End Customer
- Review work instruction / Discussion of critical points to include Bad Weld and How to Repair
- Assure Spot Welding to reduce Excessive Heat
- Weld in Order from one Side to Other
- Proper placement of Stud Covers to reduce Weld Slag
- Record Hourly Weld Counts
- Work to Learn Weld Numbers of IP
- Boundary Samples / Visual Aids/ Quality Alerts
Experience Needed:
Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required A knowledge of, and familiarity with, welding symbols and superior blue print reading skills.
Schedules:
Weekend Shift (Friday - Sunday) 12hr/day - If you work all 12 hours each day for that weekend you will receive an additional 4 hours on your paycheck for that weekend.
Some overtime is required.
