Miscellaneous Metals Fitter/Welder Job at Crystal Steel Fabricators, Inc.
Crystal Steel Memphis, a division of Crystal Steel Fabricators, Inc., has openings for welders and fitters to specialize in miscellaneous metals. Responsibilities of this position include:
- Layout and fit-up of miscellaneous metals products - experience manufacturing handrails and stairs is a plus
- Tack welding, MIG and TIG welding
- Reading shop drawings
- Other work, which may be assigned by Crystal Steel management
- Must have the physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds up to 20% of the day.
- Must have the physical ability to carry hand tools and items weighing up to 20 pounds up to 95% of the day.
- Must have the physical ability to bend and stoop under obstacles as low as 3 feet up to 20% of the day.
- Must have the physical ability to climb over obstacles 2’ high up to up to 20% of the day.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk from location to location up to 95% of the day.
- Must be able to work in hot and cold environments.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as a fitter/welder for a miscellaneous metals fabricator or erector. Pay is commensurate with experience. (Please note that Indeed's estimated pay range is not necessarily comparable to ours.)
