Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Travel Nurse Pool Manager and Direction of assigned center Director of Nursing, the Travel Certified Nursing Assistant provides care to residents in accordance with standards of care. The Travel Certified Nursing Assistant will fill open CNA positions within assigned centers including but not limited to direct care. The Travel Certified Nursing Assistant will follow the reporting structure within a center and be under the direction of the Charge Nurse and center Director of Nursing when on assignment. The Travel Certified Nursing Assistant will reside within the geographic area of the assigned centers. The Travel Certified Nursing Assistant may be assigned outside of their geographic area to assist with SLP Emergency Response Activation in times of Disaster or Crisis or with the approval or at the direction of SLP’s Director of Clinical Operations or Chief Clinical Officer.


Qualifications:

  • Must be a Certified Medication AIde and hold a valid unrestricted certification from the state.
  • The Travel Certified Medication Aide position requires up to 90% travel.
  • The Travel Certified Medication Aide may be assigned up to 50% weekends.
  • The Travel Certified Medication Aide must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
  • Must meet all local health regulations, and successfully complete a post-offer health assessment.
  • Must be capable of performing the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
