Immediate opening for a Multi-Site: Community Groundskeeper/Porter Position at Midtown 15/Granada/Uptown 7 Apartments in Tacoma, WA!

We currently have an opening for a Groundskeeper/Porter at Midtown 15/Granada/Uptown 7 Apartments in Tacoma, WA. The best candidate has a positive, can-do attitude and works well in a team environment.

We Offer:

*$20 per hour

*5.539 hours of PTO earned every 2 weeks after a full 80 hour pay period. This totals 144 Hours or 18 pays of PTO per year with the ability to carry over up to 80 hours per year. Increased PTO after 6 and 9 consecutive years with Allied Residential. **Different for part-time employees**

*Options for tuition assistance for programs like WMFHA, IREM, NAA, and other industry classes/certifications.

General Duties:

*Groundskeeping by walking the property daily and picking up trash and items that do not belong.

*Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas on the property.

*Be able to operate a pressure washer and perform pressure washing duties.

*Clean out the common laundry rooms as needed and clean the machines when needed.

*Wash walls, floors, ceilings, storage rooms, and walkways.

*Empty wastebaskets

*Empty and cleans ashtrays.

*Transport trash and waste to disposal area.

*Replenish bathroom supplies.

*Replace light bulbs.

*Cut and trim grass, and shovel snow.

*Transport small equipment or tools between departments.

Qualifications:

*Education/Experience: High School education or equivalent, or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations with other employees of the organization.

* Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

*Physical aspects of the job may require heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, balancing, and carrying.
