About the Role
Our Client is seeking a Social and Multimedia Strategy Specialist to lead social media and multimedia efforts for the company, and help drive how these mediums fit into the organization’s broader goals and strategy.
The main responsibilities for this role will be:
This role will utilize many different skills on a daily basis and require you to be able to manage and track projects.
Updating documents and website will be an ongoing process as new content is developed. The ideal candidate will be able to update existing content using the new company branding and be able to design new graphics, logos, and diagrams to best convey ideas to customers. As part of the website update, knowledge of Wix or HTML web design will be a huge plus.
This role is responsible for the creation and implementation of the social media communications for the company, with the goals of shaping the company's narrative efficiently and interestingly, while increasing engagement and reach. Duties will involve planning, implementing, and monitoring the Company's social media strategy across multiple platforms to increase brand awareness, spotlight the company’s successes and work culture, and encourage action.
Additionally, this role will also be planning, shooting, and editing videos for internal and external uses. Many of which will be shared through social media platforms and/or YouTube. The ideal candidate will be able to convey complex ideas through video using Premiere and After Effects for customers while maintaining the company branding.

- Creating social media posts including the graphics, text, and hashtags
- Producing video content for internal (training/education) and external (marketing/educational) uses
- Creating PowerPoint presentations for internal company meetings and external marketing presentations

Ideal Candidate Skills
- BA in liberal arts, English, communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field
- 2-5 years of professional experience in a social media or communications role.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, especially in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects.
- Experience in producing, editing, and disseminating multimedia content for online audiences.
- Proven ability to use content management software and social media authoring tools like Metigy, Sprout Social or HootSuite.
- Strong attention to detail, an insistence on double checking work with an exacting nature, and pride in delivering quality products.
- Strong ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and multi-task (must be comfortable with quick turn projects)
- Analytical thinker with skills in interpreting multimedia or social media analytics to inform strategies and communications plans
- Strong editorial judgement and instinct, especially around ethical and political awareness
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their audiences and understanding of multimedia content, including how it can best be produced, packaged, published, and shared on social media and with members of the media
- Proven ability to conceptualize, plan, and execute ideas effectively and efficiently
- Proactive problem solver with strong project management and organizational skills
- Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
- Must be able to work independently and collaborate within internal team and cross-team settings
