The Neil Jones Food Company is looking for a National Sales Manager of Industrial Juice Products at our corporate office located in Vancouver, WA. The Neil Jones Food Company processes superior quality, fresh packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. With headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 35 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.


Summary
: Responsible to oversee all aspects of industrial fruit juice product sales. Prepares and maintains for regular review an active account target list, indicating prospective NJFC products for each, to include proximity to actual first sale, resources required, contact names, competitors, pricing, etc. Accountable to maintain and grow account base customers, channels, and units and dollars.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, coordinates and provides inventory control on industrial juice products to ensure supplies are adequate for order fulfillment.
  • Interacts with plant operations personnel to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Communicates with internal and external personnel to establish and maintain successful working relationships.
  • Collaborates with entire sales team to communicate, train and capitalize on all NJFC customer/broker relationships.
  • Develops forecasts and budgets for assigned area(s).


Requirements
:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Food Science, Food Technology or related field; or any equivalent combination of training, experience and education that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • 7 years’ related experience in industrial food product sales; industrial fruit juice, purees, concentrates, essences, and/or fruit pomace experience preferred.
  • Active selling relationships with key manufacturers in categories of beverage (fruit juice blends, energy drinks, cideries, etc.), confectionary, desserts, nutraceuticals, and/or pet foods preferred.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of industrial juice sales and associated selling, closing and growing high volume Industrial ingredients customers.
  • Requires a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets minimum company standards, and ability to travel 30 - 40% in U.S. and Canada.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, and to work extended schedule during the pear processing season (typically July to early November) requiring extra hours and weekend work.
