This Navigator of Women's Imaging will join an established team of individuals and assist patients through their journey at the Breast Center while also performing duties as a mammographer. Responsibilities for this role include explaining processes to patients and their families, acting as an educator for patients, assisting with education coordination for patients/families, assist in accreditation surveys/readiness, assist with patient follow ups and overall communication among them and members of the interdisciplinary team throughout their treatment process.
This Breast Imaging Navigator should have a mimimum of an associate's degree as well as their RT(R), (M), and CBPN-1 (Certified Breast patient navigator in Breast Imaging, or eligibility to obtain within one year of employment), and at least 3 years of clinical experience in a radiologic field (specifically breast and women's health). A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
