Network Administrator
Kelloggsville Public Schools
Full-Time Position [260 Days]

Summary:
To manage, troubleshoot, and problem solve issues related to district networks and technology systems to achieve the missions, goals, and outcome of Kelloggsville Public Schools. Works under the direction of the Technology/Media Director.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with preference given to college or technical training in computers/technology and instructional design or equivalent experience;

Training/Experience/Responsibilities:
Proficiency in the administration of networks (ChromeOS, Microsoft, Apple);
Proficiency of the configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco and HP/Aruba network switches, WiFi, and other devices;
Operations of systems: MacOS, Windows, ChromeOS, Linux;
Understanding of multifunctional copiers and managed print services (Papercut);
Practice in managing and maintaining security systems including access control (electronic door locks) and video camera systems (Avigilon);
Knowledge in video projection and sound systems including digital displays;
Experience with additional educational classroom technology tools such as document cameras, scanners, cameras and printers;
Experience with firewall systems (SonicWall);
Familiarity with specific software: SIS, MealMagic, School Finance, Microsoft Office, video editing programs, VNC, etc.;
Organizational skills and ability to transfer knowledge to the staff regarding software, hardware, and networks;
Ability to multitask, problem solve, and troubleshoot computer and network malfunctions.
Proactive in the maintenance and overall care of technology hardware, software, and networks;
Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community;
Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others;
