Join an exciting team at Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) in developing next-generation cyber networking technologies! We are seeking applicants for junior and mid-level positions to test and validate cutting-edge high-speed networking equipment developed at SDL. Our networking gear includes customized hardware and software, bleeding-edge FPGAs, and high-speed optical network interfaces.

We’re looking for people with a keen interest in cyber networking technologies and a strong background in designing, developing, and executing test plans and procedures. You will work in an agile, continuous-integration environment helping develop and improve system reliability for some of the nation's most important cyber work.

You must have experience with regression and acceptance testing; bug reporting and tracking; software test processes; and automated testing. Automated tests will include scripting a challenging array of COTS networking gear, SDL-developed custom hardware, and both Linux and Windows servers. You will assist in the development of test strategies and use cases to demonstrate government requirements compliance. Your work will be essential in helping the team meet product release schedules.

The position requires at least a BS in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, network engineering or a related field. Strong computing background, knowledge of C++, Java, Python, and software development experience are preferred. Experience and knowledge of networking and network protocols is strongly desired. Knowledge of SQL programming and hardware interface experience is also helpful. Must be able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a small, dedicated team of engineers. Good communications skills, both written and verbal are essential. Some travel may be required. The successful candidate must have or be able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance; eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. SSBI clearance preferred.

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Computer/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science
• Experience in software testing and programming
• Experience with bug reporting/tracking and test automation
• Experience with Linux OS
• Must have or ability to obtain a security clearance (US citizenship is required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of Python, C++, and Java
• Experience with the following: Git, Perl, Bash, Expect, Python
• Experience with hardware design & troubleshooting
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols
• Cybersecurity background
• SQL programing
• Hardware interfaces and embedded coding
• SSBI Clearance
