Upon hire as a non-Career Corrections Officer, the employees will be required to successfully complete specific training for their position. Upon successful completion of the training and other departmental requirements, the non-Career officer will be utilized as needed by the particular facility the applicant is hired for. The employee participates in the custody, security, and treatment of prisoners or detainees. Successful completion of the initial training, annual training, and continuing certification as a Corrections Officer are required to remain employed.
Experience:
Corrections Officer Non-Career
One year of experience in the Michigan Department of Corrections as a Corrections Officer E9 or a Corrections Medical Officer E9.
