Job Summary:

  • Responsible for the completion of the nursing schedule weekly.
  • Facilitates, in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, all employees request for time off IE vacation, family medical leave, etc.
  • Assist nursing management with staffing: call in off-duty nursing staff as directed to promote adequate staffing.
  • Assist Director of Nursing/Assistant Director with preparing time schedule corrections to time schedule and posting of time schedule. Works with nursing to review that staffing hours are in accordance with census and budgeted staffing patterns.
  • Works with payroll/human resources to ensure accuracy of payroll.
  • Works with nursing management to complete open slots form, be corrected and sent to human resources in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Minimum of high school diploma. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to follow written and oral directions. Possess basic computer skills

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Must participate in appropriate training provided by the Director of Nursing. Experience in clerical, organizational office management. Previous experience in a health care environment preferred.
