We invite highly skilled, dedicated professionals to join our team of therapists, educators, nurses, counselors and administrative support. We have opportunities for an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist in our Early Supports for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) program.
POSITION SUMMARY
Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist
Program: ESIT
Schedule: 1.0 FTE
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Physical Therapist (PT) to be a member of an IFSP team of trans-disciplinary professionals, responsible for providing early support services to families with a child under the age of 3, identified with a delay in their development, in alignment with clinical and ESIT practice standards. A Primary Service Provider model is used to provide support within teams and families. In partnership with a child’s caregiver, an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist will evaluate children’s needs for adaptive equipment including orthotics and equipment related to positioning and mobility as well as sensory needs as they impact the child’s participation in daily or community routines. As a primary service provider, the Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist is responsible for providing support and consultation services to families with young children who have delays in the areas of gross and fine motor skills, and/or sensory processing, feeding disorders, cognitive and social-emotional as well as other areas of general development. A strong emphasis is on partnering and building caregiver capacity using coaching practices to understand their child’s unique strengths and support their child to successfully participate in daily routines and community opportunities. Services are typically provided in a child and family’s natural environment, such as home, daycares, parks, or other community settings in Snohomish County and north King County.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS and KEY COMPETENCIES
  • Occupational or Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college/University (MS or Doctorate).
  • Must be licensed to practice in Washington State.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Experience in pediatric feeding or an interest in building clinical competencies in pediatric feeding.
  • If you are a Physical Therapist, possess professional comfort and a willingness to support the team and work with families who have children with sensory needs in family routines.
  • If you are an Occupational Therapist, possess professional comfort or a willingness to support teaming and work with families who have children who are impacted by their gross motor needs in family routines.
  • Interest in building capacity in coaching practices and engaging within a primary service provider model.
  • Willingness to provide services in homes, daycares, and community settings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents, teams, and community partners.
  • Follows policies and procedures; complete tasks correctly and on time.
  • Provides quality work; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality work; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of computers and related technology ( ex; EMR’s, Word, Excel, ESIT)
  • Must possess a valid WA State Driver’s License, have a reliable vehicle on the job.
  • Current First-Aid and CPR certification required.
  • Pass Background check.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination required.
