The Position
Michael Best is seeking a full-time Office Administrative Assistant/Legal Assistant for our Denver office. This position requires 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; some flexibility considered.
The Office Administrative Assistant/Legal Assistant will be the first point of contact for all clients and employees and must enjoy providing efficient, gracious, and professional customer service. Additionally, they will assist attorneys by drafting documents and correspondence, managing calendars and helping with other projects on an as needed basis.
What You'll Be Doing

  • General office responsibilities; monitor phones, order office supplies, process mail/FedEx
  • Greeting and welcoming visitors/clients to our space and directing them appropriately
  • Notifying Firm’s personnel of visitor arrival
  • Setting and cleaning up conference rooms for meetings
  • Working with the Administration & Operations Manager to manage space planning and facilities requests
  • Offering administrative support across the office

Job Requirements:

Knowledge Base & Education:

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
  • High School education or higher
  • Some experience in an office setting preferred
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Team player mentality
  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and Firm needs change
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

For Colorado applicants only (as required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act): The starting salary for this role in our Denver office is between $45,000 to $52,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Associates are eligible to participate in Michael Best’s associate bonus program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions. This position is considered full-time and is therefore eligible to participate in employer-sponsored benefits, including: medical, dental, vision, as well as elective/voluntary life, disability, and accident coverage. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in the firm's 401k plan.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
