The Office Custodian is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the common areas of the property, including the leasing office, clubroom, gym and the pool area. The Office Custodian is a representative of the property and should conduct themselves in a professional, welcoming and helpful manner. This position will provide cleaning services at 2 properties located in Cedar Park and Georgetown in a 60/40 split. Primary property is located in Cedar Park. This is a day shift position.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the overall cleanliness of the leasing office and all common areas of the property
  • Removes trash and recycling from office area and replaces liners in cans
  • Cleans and sanitizes the gym and gym equipment and empty trash
  • Vacuum, sweep and/or mop floors, carpets and rugs
  • Dust office furniture, décor and baseboards and ensure corners and ceilings are free from cobwebs
  • Clean and sanitize the restrooms and replenish toiletries
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the coffee/drink areas and restock as necessary
  • Wash windows in the leasing office, gym, clubroom and other areas as necessary
  • Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
  • Monitor and report inventory of cleaning supplies to ensure supplies are on hand when needed
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns to the Property Manager immediately
  • Keep Model Unit clean and ensure its tour ready at all times
  • May clean and sanitize apartment units prior to Move In including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen wipe downs, etc
  • Represent the community in a professional manner at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and able to provide solutions
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Able to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff and residents in English; Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
  • Comfortable using smart phone technology and communication apps such as Slack, email, time keeping platforms
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent, 1-3 years experience in cleaning/housekeeping; Multi-Family residential experience is a plus.

Location: This position will perform cleaning duties at 2 property locations in a 6/40 split with the primary property located in Cedar Park. Secondary property is located in Georgetown.
