The Human Resources/Payroll Department is responsible for the administration and implementation of University Personnel Policies and Procedures.
This position will support the Payroll department with routine office administration and data management clerical tasks. Strong technology skills are desired.

Job description may include routine, varied, and moderately complex duties involving a moderate degree of responsibility and judgment. May require previous training or equivalent experience. May direct or coordinate activities of other student employees.

- Routine data entry
- Answering phones; greeting customers; taking messages
- Scanning and making copies
- Training new hires
- Managing schedules
- Providing support to students (tutors, peer mentors, orientation leaders)
- Conduct presentations
- Managing confidential information
- Maintain regular attendance
- Perform other job duties as assigned
This position is not eligible for telework, all work will be conducted at the Human Resources/Payroll office located at the East Mass Communications Building on the NMHU main campus in Las Vegas, NM.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:

- College student at NMHU enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours
- High School Diploma or GED
- No experience to some clerical/office experience
- Lifting a minimum of 30 pounds – Occasionally
