Pay Range: $17.60 - $19.23 per hour

(DOE and additional compensation for approved county threshold languages.)

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the Office Services Manager, the Office Support Staff II is responsible for providing office support services to the assigned VCSS or VTC site(s).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides general office support as assigned.
  • Effectively trains Office Support Staff I positions on his/her assigned tasks, as needed.
  • Effectively leads ‘teams of staff’ to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Oversees and maintains an effective organization and filing system within assigned areas.
  • Assures quality of job performance for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Identifies areas of need in order to maintain excellence in the administrative processes and makes suggestions to the leadership of the site.
  • Assists with administrative functions of intakes, completing paperwork and assisting with client files.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned and if applicable to program as follows:
    • Provides on-site technical support to all staff
    • Provides general HR support as assigned
    • Processes Payroll for program
    • Processes Billing for program as assigned
    • Manages Psychiatric department needs

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have high school or general education degree (GED) plus four years office experience.

POSITION/PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess a valid California driver's license, personal automobile insurance and driving record that meets the standards outlined in the Agency’s Personnel Policy: Motor Vehicle Operating Standards.
  • Must be physically and mentally fit in accordance with the Agency’s Personnel Policy: Physical Fitness Standards and Examinations. Must be willing to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) test, drug screening test and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination(s).
  • Must be willing to complete a personal background investigation conducted by the State of California.
  • Must be flexible to work varying schedule according to operational need.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Have an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in a residential, office or outdoor environment including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), alternating between standing and sitting for extended periods of time, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching balancing and occasional carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Physically able to walk up and down stairs routinely
  • Requires the ability to utilize computer and telephone systems, which includes the coordination of eye and hand and fine manipulation by the hands and fingers for typing, writing and working with files.
