Do you have a heart to help the senior population? Our residents need people to help them live their best quality of life when they can't quite do it on their own. We provide anything from assisted care to hospice care.

Currently we are hiring an on-call position. This position will cover sick employees, days that need an extra person due to appointments, and vacation days of other employees.

The person we would like to gain for our team will have these qualities:

• On time -You will start behind if you are not on time!
• Follow safety guidelines in the community, including proper lifting technique and universal precautions when providing care to the residents.
• Follow the schedule of duties for the Caregiver as well as the individual plan of care for each resident.
• Pour, chart, and administer medications.
• Monitor resident activity, food intake, functional status, and psychosocial status, taking action as required to promote resident well-being.
• Report status change immediately to the administrator.
• Act immediately and calmly with any resident crisis, following protocol and first aid training.
• Promote open communication between health care professionals, families, residents, and all staff.
• Assist with walking, transfers (stand pivot transfer, stand by assist and/or Hoyer transfers), and light exercise with residents.
• Prepare meals, serve meals, and followed by clean up.
• Make beds and change linens as needed.
• Light housekeeping to include dusting, sweeping, mopping, resident room upkeep and vacuuming.
• Participate in activities with residents- anything from crafts, movies days, birthdays or seasonal parties.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of caregiving experience.
• CPR/first aid card or ability to obtain card ASAP.
• Food Handlers card.
• Availability for on-call shifts days, nights and weekends.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
