The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for supporting the onboarding process for team members at Epic Staffing Group, providing continued administrative support for all related employee groups and teams post-onboarding. The specialist is responsible for making a positive first impression for new hires by creating a warm welcome and providing a strong service orientation. This position will also assist with the administration of the company buddy program. The successful candidate has very strong attention to detail and service orientation.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct and assist new hires in completing applicable onboarding paperwork, ensuring all required documents are collected
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of the Company buddy program
- Complete data entry for all new team members in the HRIS system
- Review I-9 documents for work authorization, and complete E-Verify for all new employees
- Make necessary changes within the Onboarding Software to ensure an up-to-date document library so that new hires are receiving the most relevant information
- Craft and send emails with information about the company and position, including work schedules, dress code, and parking options
- Prepare onboarding kits
- Welcome new employees upon their arrival and give them an office tour, if applicable
- Coordinate company presentations
- Inform employees of their first tasks (e.g. which programs to download and how to activate their accounts)
- Ensure new hires have technical assistance to properly set up their hardware and software
- Distribute manuals, passwords, and guidelines, as needed
- Address new hires’ queries regarding their contracts and payroll
- Develop and maintain new hire resources
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Qualifications
- Previous human resources experience
- Onboarding experience preferred
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) preferred
- Solid communication skills (verbal and written)
- An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Customer service experience
Salary: $24-$26 per hour
