Position Summary
The Online Tutor helps students (individually and in groups) in English by implementing various instructional/tutorial strategies and techniques. The online tutor must have extensive and deep knowledge of English Composition.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English plus 9 graduate hours.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience teaching/tutoring small groups of students
- English content and pedagogical knowledge for teaching Composition I and Composition II.
- Ability to complete thorough and accurate work and manage time effectively to meet project timelines and produce high-quality results.
- Responsive to feedback and collaboration.
- Familiarity with course design and working within a specific Learning Management System (Blackboard and Moodle preferred) in both online and blended learning environments.
- Strong communication skills.

- Position is 8 weeks long. Renewable after 8 weeks based on need, student interaction and student success.
- Required to meet with students synchronously 2 hours per week. Other sessions by appointment.
