Hybrid position with 2 days in-office.

Job Description:

  • The Analyst will work cross-teams to review, originate, and execute redevelopment, cross-selling & upselling opportunities throughout [1,200+] projects totaling over [1,133MW] of Distributed Generation assets across North America.
  • Technologies will primarily include solar and batteries with potential for additional decarbonization measures such as EV charging and energy efficiency
  • Collaboration will be involved primarily with the Operations, Development, Technical Sales, and Financial Structuring teams
  • Manage customer outreach and messaging on redevelopment opportunities

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Review operational asset data for redevelopment opportunities based on existing asset performance, contract terms, and other items
  • Review Customer load data, energy consumption and energy efficiency goals to provide recommendations on energy system solutions, sizing and design
  • Utilize modeling tools such as PVSyst, EnergyToolbase, and/or Helioscope to create energy production estimates
  • Develop with Technical Sales or 3rd party engineers structural and electrical conceptual designs, including technology selection, layouts and drawings, electrical and roof interfaces for solar electric systems and other energy systems that meet all national, local and stakeholder requirements for submission of proposals
  • Remain up to date on current technology offerings within the industry and approved equipment within the company while working with Technical SMEs to advance redevelopment opportunities.
  • Support contract extensions and renegotiation as projects near the end of the original contract life.
  • Support performance engineering team in development of data analytics platform to identify new redevelopment/repowering opportunities
  • Review Zendesk tickets and respond to customer questions and assign to appropriate team contact
  • Coordinate with Technical Sales, Financial Structuring, and Development teams to prepare PPA and capacity payment rates and financials for proposals for meetings with customers
  • Design, create, and manage outreach program for key customer accounts
  • Stay appraised of market policy, policy changes, risks, and opportunities
  • Coordinate with Asset Management/Operations team to understand project opportunities, risk, customer concern and contract details
  • Review and understand contractual obligations to ensure these are met during redevelopment process, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), Site Leases and Interconnection Agreements
  • Provide summary of key contract terms and opportunities to Manager, Development operations to prepare for customer meetings
  • Act as a Technical and Project Management Liaison between Performance Engineering, Asset Management, & Development
  • Establish redevelopment workflows and process documentation for Asset Management
  • Review and opine on technical proposals for redevelopment opportunities
  • The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to clearly communicate across technical ranges and provide guidance in the face of dynamic challenges.
  • This person must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to work collaboratively with a wide range of expertise and technical depths to drive progress

We’re looking for people who have:

  • Strong, demonstrable experience with PV plant construction/development
  • Strong customer management skills
  • Strong familiarity with the administrative & technical considerations for redevelopment and cross selling of technology.
  • Comfort & experience working on projects both from a supervisory and individual contribution

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in DG PV plant engineering, project management or technical sales
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent professional experience
  • History of using Helioscope, PVSyst or other PV System energy modeling software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage tactical engagements from conception to final deliverables
  • Proven experience developing distilled insights and guidance for management review
  • Strong technical acumen and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to perform complex qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Highly collaborative, flexible, and team-oriented working style
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication and presentation skills, with proven experience writing and delivering presentations to members of senior executive teams
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with senior leadership internally and externally
  • Proven ability to navigate priorities with a high level of emotional intelligence and adept at identifying priorities
  • Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems
  • NABCEP Certificate for PV System design
  • LEED Energy Manager Certification Preferred
