We are seeking an experienced and insightful operations finance manager. In this highly visible role, you will work closely with our operations, winemaking, IT and procurement teams to ensure accurate costing of products and to provide actionable reporting/KPIs as it relates to costing, inventory and capital acquisitions. This includes managing the day-to-day operations of the cost accounting function; coordinating all forecasting activities; performing variance analyses and standard and ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting. This individual contributor role has no direct reports and is a ‘manager’ of process. The role will report to the director of operations finance.

Location

This role has the potential for a hybrid work arrangement of approximately three days/week on-site in Healdsburg and/or Hopland and approximately two days/week remote. Bonterra Organic Estates’ corporate office is located at 12901 Old River Rd. Hopland, CA 95449.

Essential Functions

Serve as a business partner with operations leadership in devising and executing initiatives focused on optimization of costs, increased productivity and capital planning

Coordinate all forecasting activities, analyze variances vs. actuals and report actions to operations management related to:

• Cost centers overhead
• Inventory
• Capital planning (acquisitions, NPV, IRR, depreciation, etc.)

Develop budget standards and provide visibility to accurate actual costs:

• Collaborate with financial planning team to ensure costs projections meet margin/profitability goals
• Build and maintain standards costs for planning and forecasting
• Perform month-end closing and general ledger activities related to costing
• Develop KPIs of cost-related drivers

Cooperate with Concha y Toro in aligning on cost accounting policies and procedures

Support Concha y Toro costing team in the day-to-day operations of cost accounting function

Standard and ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting

Identify software requirements and support a technological roadmap

Compensation

The salary range for this role is a base salary of $75,000 to 120,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a candidate’s relevant education, qualifications, experience, skillset, competencies, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.

Must Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics and a minimum five plus years related experience or equivalent combination education/experience
• Proven track record of coordinating cross-functional initiatives and succeeding in a complex environment
• Knowledge of capital planning and product costing methodologies
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver multiple/detail-oriented tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly relay information
• Advanced skills with Excel and PowerPoint
• The ability to work independently and fulfill commitments within specified deadlines
• The ability to resourcefully identify and implement actionable plans
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel
• Strong teamwork and organizational skills with an ability to set priorities for multiple projects
• Ability to coach, mentor, motivate and develop skills of team members

Preferred Requirements

• Working knowledge of SAP
• Experience in the manufacturing sector, a plus
