Cruise & Water Sports Operations Manager

Company Profile and Position Overview

Yacht StarShip Dining Cruises operates Tampa’s largest fleet of passenger vessels and seeks an experienced operations manager for Pirate Water Taxi, Bay Rocket speedboat thrill ride, Lost Pearl pirate ship adventures and Tampa Riverwalk Rentals. The Cruise and Water Sports Operation Manager will be responsible for safety, guest experience, scheduling, inventory, revenue/expenses, hiring, training and maintenance.

Job Description

The Operations Manager will direct and oversee all aspects of the operation, including, but not limited to hiring and training of crew, scheduling of crew, ensuring excellent customer service, ensuring excellent safety record, successful execution of daily route, specialty cruise development, manages the booking system including maximizing taxi and cruise availability dynamically depending on season and demand, running and analyzing reports to understand trends and make educated business suggestions and decisions, facilitation of annual passholder program, reconciling daily sales, minimizing and handling customer complaints, creating, maintaining, and enforcing all company Standard Operating Procedures Safety and Hospitality Systems and more. This position is responsible for the financial performance of the cruise and water sports division.

Schedule

Weekends are the busiest time for passenger vessel operations, and as such the Operations Manager should expect to work most weekends and take their days off during the week.

Required Experience/Education

● Bachelor degree preferred and one to four years’ experience in hospitality/operational management and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

● 2 years operation management.

● 100-Ton Captains License is preferred, but, is not a requirement.

● 1 year in Passenger Vessel Industry is preferred, but, is not a requirement.

● Integrity and ability to handle information with the utmost confidentiality, in regards to Human Resources matters, financial matters and working with our customer and vendor clientele.

● A thorough proficiency and knowledge in the use of basic office equipment including but not limited to copy machines, calculators, adding machines, postal machines, etc.

● Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

● Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines effectively and multi-task.

● Clear and effective communicator, with ability to motivate the crew.

● Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test

● Pirate Water Taxi, Lost Pearl, Bay Rocket and Tampa Riverwalk Rentals are all owned and operated by Yacht StarShip Dining Cruises, Florida’s largest fleet of dining yachts, which is continuously expanding.

Salary

● Base Salary Competitive and based on experience $100,000+

● Incentive Opportunities up to 25% of Salary
