We are currently looking for a passionate and technically savvy individual to join our team as an experienced Warehouse & Distribution Operations Manager at our combined Family Care & Baby Care plant located in Mehoopany, PA. The plant produces SKUs for brands such as Bounty, Pampers, and Charmin. The Warehouse & Distribution Operations Manager is responsible to ensure that the Distribution Centers and Warehouses within their area of responsibility have the capacity and capability to receive, store, pick, and ship finished products and raw and pack materials while meeting all internal P&G and external Customer requirements for Service, Cost, Cash and Stewardship. This position is responsible for continual improvement of their operation and for ensuring agility to meet the changing needs of the business. This role will work within the Operations vertical at the site and be assigned a warehouse / distribution group among the campus to supervise.

This opportunity is responsible for leading and delivering the daily operations and ensuring operational excellence for the organization or sub-organization. Depending on the area of business, this could include daily operations such as KPI's, SRA, Stewardship and Culture, forecast accuracy or activities associated with brand and multi-brand planning. Optimizes resources and builds capability to continuously deliver improved results over time (i.e. end-to-end service delivery).

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the line warehouse organization
  • Accountable for ensuring Distribution system meets or exceeds the needs of the Business Units and Customers, through effective use of measures, gap analyses, action plan development and execution
  • Must ensure that all areas of PD within their control have the right level of capability, resources, technology, skills, and financial support
  • Leads change management within PD ensuring that losses are continuously being driven out
  • Partners with other functions and adjacent process owners to deliver the defined business results
  • Plans adoption and implementation of SDC Standards and best practices

  • % Loaded On Time (or Shipped On Time in case of Live loads)
  • Quality - product delivered in good condition as ordered
  • Site Logistics Case Fill Rate
  • Warehouse Cost & Productivity
  • Truck Turnaround Time (or VTAT)
  • Inventory Record Accuracy & Proper Internal Controls
  • Non-Productive Inventory
  • Safety total incident rate
  • Warehouse Operations Health Check

Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar degrees (work-related experience will be considered as well).

Skills and Proficiencies:

  • 3+ years of fulltime experience in a warehouse, manufacturing site or in a corporate environment
  • Experience in Continuous improvement methodologies in a warehousing or Manufacturing environment
  • Ability and experience to benchmark other programs, internally and externally, and reapply best practices to drive improvements in delivering information (data, training, etc.)
  • Role requires effective coaching and development of an organization
  • Ability to analyze, innovate, and deliver breakthrough results around metrics and key performance indicators. Can understand existing programs and systems and provide innovative ways to deliver improvement
  • Ability to communicate action plans, strategies, and help requests to the right people with the appropriate sense of urgency to drive action
  • Successful experience working across different internal and external organizations to drive change
  • Experience adjusting your level of detail, presentation style, and decision criteria to the audience
  • Ability to lead and implement a major improvement across a broad/diverse range of stakeholders

Starting Salary Range:$85-$115K

Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
