The Recruiting Coordinator will actively source, lead recruitment activities and hire general labor food safety members across a set geographical area. This individual will work closely with Operations partners, the Employee Retention Program Supervisor (ERPS)/Coordinator (ERPC), and Office Administrator to ensure open positions are being actively recruited and filled. This position will be heavily focused on building networking connections locally, conducting hiring events, attending local job fairs, and interviewing applicants.

The Recruiting Coordinator must be energetic, outgoing and have a flexible attitude. Our work is fast paced and always changing so a team attitude is necessary!

  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (Occasional weekends)
  • Amount of Travel Required: 50% local
  • Positions Supervised: None

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Develop and create local recruitment processes in the plants to source, screen, interview and hire general labor food safety candidates
  • Identify the right team within the plants to interview and make hiring decisions and work with those team members daily
  • Search and create sustainable partnerships for current and future staffing needs in all local areas
  • Monitor and screen applications through the Applicant Tracking System
  • Screen, coordinate, schedule, and conduct in plant interviews with the hiring teams
  • Travel to sites and provide support with recruitment efforts and with establishing new applicant pools within the community
  • Establish a cadence of communication with the Area Managers to update and provide information on all aspects of staffing
  • Partner with Recruitment leadership, Marketing, Social Media Team, and Operations in developing local Social Media and Virtual Job Fairs
  • Conduct PSSI Hiring Events for designated plants in division
  • Coordinate with our Corporate Recruitment Team in ensuring we have a comprehensive strategy that includes both corporate support and local community-based efforts
  • Establish and sustain local and regional and partnerships with non-profits
  • Monitor the recruitment strategy performance and provide weekly updates to VP, DM, AM, and Recruitment leadership
  • Conduct weekly calls with local ERPS, ERPC, and Office Coordinators to discuss local recruitment efforts
  • Support HR and Operations Teams in supporting Critical Staffing Conference Calls and Action Plans


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 1-year direct recruiting experience
  • Full cycle recruitment experience
  • Experience with high volume recruitment
  • Strong networking, good oral and written communication, and time management with varied priorities
  • Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
  • Technical skills including Boolean knowledge and application experience, overall online sourcing experience, ability to work with computers and technology, particularly Microsoft Office programs are essential
  • Experience working remotely preferred
  • Experience recruiting for multiple locations preferred
